6. Put the mixture into the cake pan and bake until done. You would have to poke it with a toothpick to know, but 35-45 minutes are usually enough for a cake to be finished.

7. Let it cool. After it has cooled, you can slice the cake horizontally to make two layers, or bake another to make a tall, double layer-cake.
